Nivea Visage Cleansing products

After doing a review on my shampoo and conditioner, now it's time to do a review on my items for my face.

These are the NIVEA cleansing products that I have. Last year I was in Germany for a semester and I was running out of face cleanser (Geo Vitamin Cleansing Water, a Korean product that I LOVE!) And so I saw in a hypermarket these NIVEA products. Since NIVEA is well-known all over the world so I think these should be a safe product. And I bought them!
From left to right:
1. Nivea Visage Erfrischendes Gesichts-Wasser (Nivea Visage Refreshing Facial Water)
2. Nivea Visage sanfter wasserfester Augen Make-up Entferner (Nivea Visage Waterproof Eye Make-up Remover)
3. Nivea Visage Tägliches Wasch-Peeling (Nivea Visage Daily Scrub)

So, I'm going to review these:

1. Nivea Visage Erfrischendes Gesichts-Wasser (Nivea Visage Refreshing Facial Water)
The liquid is just like normal water - transparent - but it has this "fresh" toner smell. Since it's written "wasser" (water), I thought it's just an aroma but it's alcohol-free. It has Lotus extract and Vitamins, and it's made for Normal and Combination skintype.

My face is actually a Combi type but when I was in Germany, it became normal. So that's why I bought this type so I could use it here too.

To be honest, compared to my previous cleanser, this could not cleanse my make-up just in one go. I had to use more than 3 cotton pads in order to "completely" cleanse the make-up I've put on my face! Moreover, my face has reddened after the application, and when I read the ingredients.. Ta-da! The liquid contains alcohol! No wonder! What a bummer!

Well, I agree alcohol is good to cleanse and to tighten pores but this product doesn't work for me. I prefer much better my previous cleanser "Geo Vitamin Cleansing Water", it does not contain alcohol at all but lots of vitamins and it cleanses my face much better!)

My mom used to bring that product whenever she comes to visit me but the last time, she didn't bring any, instead she brought "Geo Vitamin Foam Cleansing" and told me that the Cleansing Water cannot be found anywhere. So saaaadd!! T_T

Anyway, I'll be reviewing "Geo Vitamin Foam Cleansing" later on, after I'm done with these NIVEA Visage cleansing products. Ok? So, back to Nivea.

Well, since I bought this I had to finish this. I use it when I wanna clean my laptop's LCD =p. As for my face, I only use this once a week or after I put on some make-up.

But for those who have sensitive skin, this is NOT recommended!

2. Nivea Visage sanfter wasserfester Augen Make-up Entferner (Nivea Visage Waterproof Eye Make-up Remover)
It's basically an eye make-up remover. I seldom use mascara but once I use mascara, I dunno how to remove it completely and it always leaves some to my under eye which makes me look like a panda. Huhuhu.. And because the Nivea cleanser contains alcohol, I don't dare to use them for my eye!

So, I finally bought it and guess what? It's not working as what I expected. I had to use it a couple of times and it won't come off either. It works less than the Geo cleansing water. So I'm quite disappointed. Plus, it leaves some "greasy" feeling on your eye and in your eye, you had to wash your eye! It's not dangerous coz I use contact lenses but I just don't like this greasy feeling and blurry view. So i had to wash my lenses and my eyes! It's soooo not comfy at all!

In order for my mascara to be washed off completely, I had to use Geo Vitamin Foam Cleansing and let some damp tissue or towel to cover my lashes so that it won't run to my under eye.

Though I'm quite disappointed, I still use this product at first then the Geo will be the last step, the finishing touch!

Next is:
3. Nivea Visage Tägliches Wasch-Peeling (Nivea Visage Daily Scrub)
I bought this because of the cute greenish colour like the sea and I read it's written "mischhaut" (combi skintype). So i bought it.

It's written daily in this tube and yet when i tried to use it daily, my face became super dry! And sensitive! So I don't use it daily but weekly; I use it every sunday when I'm done tidying up my room and self-treatment.

Personally I don't have anything against this product if I use it wisely. I like the "cool" feeling when I applied it to my face. It stings a liiiil bit to the areas where you have acnes, otherwise it really soothes your face skin!

I was actually tricked by the word "peeling", I thought it's like when you apply it on your face, waiting for it to dry then you peel off. But instead, it's about scrubbing!

So initially, I waited for it to dry and tried peeling the mask. And no, it doesn't work so I had to scrub it. I put a piece of paper under my face and I saw the result. If my face was clean, the colour should be light greenish but if it's not, it will be brown-greyish.

And when I'm done scrubbing, I washed my face with just water et voilà! My face becomes soooo smooth and my pores tighten! I actually like this better than the other 2 products, as long as I use it weekly and NOT daily!

The aftermath is that my face produces oil that it becomes oily. But wait, it's spread equally! Remember I said before that my face is the combi type, so actually this is not a problem. I waited for 10 minutes then I rinsed my face with water and then dry out using a towel.

In the end? My face becomes oil-free! And it's really smooth! I really like to touch my face! Hihi..

Well, of course my pores loosens every week but I don't dare using it daily and I have never thought using it twice a week. Here, I only use make up on special events (anniversaries and presentations) so I don't really need excessive cleansing too. And I have no idea why but I don't feel undergoing self-treatment.. It's not relaxing enough for me.. (Or I'm just too lazy, =p)

Should I recommend this? Hmm.. For those who are unable to feel stings, I don't recommend but I really think this is a good product. Why not? Hehe.

L'Oréal Nutri-Gloss (light) Shine Shampoo & Conditioner

Ok, this post is gonna be about self-treatment items that I use.

L'Oréal Nutri-Gloss (light) Shine Shampoo
I like my silky black hair and I don't have dandruffs. Ok, it's not really black as pitch black due to the sun exposure. But compare to my friends' hair, mine is black, healthy and naturally silky and I got compliments about my hair from my friends.

The secret is not hairdressers, no. I seldom go there, i only go once per semester for a haircut and hairspa and that's it! I think I should be grateful to my shampoo and conditioner:

My hair is actually dry and it gets oily at the 3rd day. I rinse my hair once every 2-3 days and apply the conditioner every twice I rinse my hair. So it means that I don't use the conditioner everytime I rinse my hair. Otherwise, my hair gets really oily and it's not comfy to have oily hair on tropical weather here.

Unless you live in Europe or anywhere the weather is dry like in Germany. When I lived there, I rinse my hair every 3-4 days, waiting for my hair to be oily first (because my hair was super dry, super dehydrated!) and I always apply conditioner after rinsing my hair.

After I'm done rinsing and conditioning, I ONLY use towel to absorb excessive water from my hair and let it dry out naturally. NO, I don't use hairdryers or the iron thingy, it will only make my hair super dry and unhealthy.

And voilà! My hair becomes voluminous, healthy and silky! I highly recommend for those who wants to have silky shiny hair. Hehe. It's considered as expensive but consider the quality and the shampoo bottle is big enough! The bottle contains 375ml whereas the conditioner contains 180ml. It's enough for 3-3.5 months. I buy it once every 3 months. When it's almost finished, I pour in some water inside the bottle and shake it. And then use it. Hehe.

You don't need to put a lot of shampoo to rinse! Here are the steps:
1. Rinse your hair with water water until it gets really wet.
2. Pour the shampoo on your hand of the size of the quarter of your hand palm and then put on your hair then rinse it. Do it 2x or 3x until you feel your hair is soft enough.
3. Then throw out excessive water from your hair to apply conditioner.
4. Pour some conditioner of the size of a quarter of your palm then wipe it all over your palm then wipe both of your palm to mid of your hair to the end NOT your scalp. Because the scalp gets oily easily until the mid of your hair. That's why it's easy to get dandruffs.
5. When you've applied conditioner on your hair, let it be and wash your body.
6. When you're done washing your body, rinse everything with water, never use hot water but use warm water. Hot water will only dry your hair.

If I have an important event such as presentation, parties, etc.. I always rinse my hair at D-1 and let it dry out naturally and at D day in the morning, I tie my hair so it won't be messy and just before the event, I untie my hair. And ta-da! Just like as if I just came out from a hair salon! Hihihi..

Oh by the way, I almost never brush my hair using a hair brush or comb. I only brush my hair using my fingers. Hehe.. Because if I use a brush or comb, my hair falls a LOT.. I admit this shampoo and conditioner won't solve the hair-fall problem.

I should use a hair-tonic to solve this problem but I'm too lazy. I'll put it on my wishlist so whenever I reeealllyyyy need it, I'll buy it.

There's my review. I hope it's helpful enough for those who wants to have silky shiny hair. Hehe.

My Electronics Must-Have items!

So.. below you will see my Must-Have items! Hehe..
I will write the explanations further later on..

When it comes to electronics:

1. 13" MacBook Pro
It's beautiful, great lcd and have cool software applications needed by graphic designers, movie editors, musicians and photographers! The wi-fi airport coverage is pretty far. I can even capture the signal from 2 houses next to mine without problem! And it's not heavy at all! LOVE IT!

2. Gemini Blackberry
Well, to be honest, I DO NOT like blackberry at all. I finally bought this last year in Germany it's because my boyfriend convinced me that the monthly use of blackberry is cheaper and it's very useful and we can be updated. (most of my friends use blackberry) So in the end I bought it. It's OK, since I don't need much except for the "blackberry messenger". If it's not for a better communication, I would have given it away. But trust me, in Indonesia, it's pretty useless because of the slow internet connection! ARGH! I'll give it to my cousins once i'm done using it and buy an LG chocolate!

3. 2nd generation iPod Touch 8GB
Well, what can I say about this. It's like an iPhone without the phone version. Hahaha. I really like this gadget! Especially the touchscreen and cool applications/games! It's much easier to play! I always listen to the music via laptop and radio in the car so I don't need much space for the music but for the GAMES! Hehe. I like playing games and for the gamers, this is COOL! I heard that there is the new 4th generation of ipod, it's COOLER! Because you can even take a picture and record a video with it. Oh well, at least I do not regret having an iTouch! Hehe..

4. External harddisk Toshiba Art
This is actually not a must but what's inside is a must for me.. Haha. All the motion pictures, pictures, comics, animés and songs that I have copied from a friend or downloaded by myself are all in this white external harddisk! I even have all the data. I don't like to keep everything in my laptop because it's gonna be heavy for my mac. (I only have 160GB harddisk). This is pretty handy for whom would like to "keep" data but yet don't have enough space in their computers. This is nice and pretty and cheap. So far I do not encounter any trouble using it. Except for the cable data, but now it's doing pretty fine!

I always bring all these items that I need to bring whenever I go to campus. Even at home, I would only budge on these 4 items! I use them almost 24/7 (except during my sleep). Hehe..

From now on..

Hey guys, welcome bac!

I feel like re-updating my blog that was on hiatus. Hehe. And I'm gonna write some reviews on things that I have or that I like.

Why? Because lately I have some interest on beauty care cosmetics since I'm already on my last year of bachelor! I realize that no longer then, i'm gonna enter the field of work where I have to put on make ups every single workday!

I remember that my face skin used to be sensitive and filled with acnes and pimples but now it's getting much better, though it's not smooth yet but I receive some compliments from my friends.

So.. Why not writing on this blog? I have a blog and I feel like sharing to everyone who had troubles with skin or hair.
Of course! This blog will not be limited to beauty and hair but other electronic stuffs, books or anything that I feel like reviewing. Hehe..

I do hope my reviews will be useful for you guys! ^^
